River Valley Middle School will be closed October 13th through 16th; 40% of students absent Monday with flu-like symptoms.

River Valley Middle School will close on October 13th through 16th due to the high rate of absenteeism among students with influenza like illness.
Nearly 40% of our Middle School student population are ill today. Whereas, the absentee rate at our elementary schools and high school is in the normal range of absenteeism. Therefore, all other schools in the River Valley School District will remain open but will be closely monitored.
River Valley Middle School will close Tuesday, October 13th, through Friday, October 16th. River Valley School District will reopen the Middle School on Monday, October 19th.
Any further updates will be posted to the River Valley School District website at rvschools.org.
This school closure order encompasses the cancellation of all Middle School activities and precludes public gatherings until further notice. All Middle School after school activities are cancelled for the remainder of the week.
