PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and Rhode Island Department of Health announce another confirmed human case of the West Nile Virus (WNV) and one probable case.

Both people are residents of the Providence area, and are in their 70s.

RIDOH said that the state of Rhode Islands now has two confirmed case of WNV, and two probable cases total.​..

(WJAR) — Rhode Island announced on Friday two additional human cases of West Nile virus.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the Rhode Island Department of Health identified the probable victims as a Newport County resident in their 60s and a Providence County resident in their 50s.

These new cases are in addition to three previously reported human cases of West Nile and one probable human case of West Nile.​..
