"The latest data — taken from 12 hospitals around the state of Florida — shows that the Sunshine State already is in the early stages of RSV season. According to statistics gathered by the state Department of Health, 18 percent of the Florida babies tested for RSV have it, according to Dr.Carlos Sabogal, a pulmonologist at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. Any time levels rise above 10 percent, the CDC considers the situation epidemic."
