Request for proposals on Supporting Services in Avian Influenza Preparation and Response Program
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. DAI international consulting firm under contract with the United Stats Agency for International Development (USAID) announced poll of proposals for pre-contract services on field level research, training programs on AI related topics within world-wide program against AI.
DAI informs that the firm is looking for strong local partner organizations with which it can cooperate in the implementation of the above program.
Those services would include, but not to be limited to the following:
1. Conducting field level research into the structure and scale of the poultry sector in selected regions and assessment of the capacity of technical personnel in those regions.
2. The planning and execution of numerous AI training programs.
3. The identification and organization of poultry producers and technical personnel to receive training on the above topics.
4. The provision of technical support, including translation and visit of the specialists.
Field activities cover 15 rayons grouped in 3 regions.
All proposals must be prepared in English language in three copies and submitted to the DAI/STOP AI Azerbaijan office at 251 A, Dilara Aliyeva Street, Apt 3, Baku. Tel: 496-75-03.
The STOP AI program in Azerbaijan has just been launched and will run through February 2010. The program is planning the series of technical training and other activities aimed at enhancing the capacity of Azerbaijani veterinarians and small to medium poultry producers.
