The Ministry of Health of Sonora reported a new case of influenza A-H1N1 in the state, said the director of epidemiology of dependence, Sergio Olvera Alba.

Alba Olvera reported that it is a child under 6 years of age in the municipality of Hermosillo, which was treated at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

He noted that the girl, who did not have the vaccine, is recovering satisfactorily after having received the necessary attention and added that this case has no relation with the previously detected.

He also said that so far added 64 cases of influenza, of which two are A-H1N1, 12 of type A, 34 are A-H3N2 and 16 cases of type B.

Under this scheme, the expert noted that it is necessary to maintain preventive strategies to avoid infection and spread of the virus in cold temperatures that occur in the state, in addition to the vaccine.
