?hundreds of geese showed signs of damaged nervous system
?autopsy: haemorrhages and necrosis in pancreas, fibrinousairsacculitis, enteritis, haemorrhages in heart

?from a large scale breeding geese farm 59 blood samples were examined by HI test, 25 sample were H5 positive
?2x60 swabs were PCR negative!
?examination was repeated from the 4 different stock of the farm (4x10 blood, cloacaland tracheal swab),
?in 1 affected stock were 9 blood samples positive
?All swabs were PCR negative

Nasty signs and symptoms. Where else are we seeing enteritis? Where else have we seen hemorrhages in the heart?

What does 2 X 60 samples were PCR negative mean? What are the implications of this? Is the PCR test no longer well targeted to the virus?
