MEXICO CITY, March 13 .- The Mexican Pacific is aware of the possible effects of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, although some institutions and raised the alert issued by the Ministry of the Interior (Interior Ministry).

Seismic Network reported that these movements were related to the system of the San Andreas fault and do not represent the possibility of a tsunami off the coast of the state.
Michoac?n, meanwhile, maintains a yellow alert on its shores, which means that people can maintain their activities, but must be attentive to any recommendations from the authorities, said the Secretary of Government, Fidel Calder?n.
"We must be very attentive to any call for authority to take preventive measures," he said.

In Chiapas, the Regional Port Captain reported that 55 shrimp vessels and about seven thousand 500 small boats set off to sea, ended after the closure to navigation by the threat of the tsunami in the Pacific.
