March 16, 2012 -Troyer Cheese, Inc. is recalling specific expiration dates of their Backroad Country Caramel Puffcorn sold in 8 and 16 ounce plastic bags because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled "Backroad Country Caramel Puffcorn" was distributed between 1/06/2012 ? 03/12/2012 to the following 32 states: AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NH, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA & WV in retail stores and through mail orders. The product comes in clear plastic bag labeled with the following codes stamped on the front of the package:

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the milk-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk in the ingredient statement. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company's labeling processes.
Distribution of the product has been suspended until FDA and the company are certain that the problem has been corrected...
