EXPOSURE TO goats has been associated with a five-fold increase in a rare type of lung cancer, according to French researchers.

A distinct subset of lung cancer ? pneumonic-type lung adenocarcinoma (P-ADC) ? has been found that shares features with a viral infection in the lungs of sheep and goats.

Researchers have been investigating whether the ovine viral agent could be transferred to people who work with the animals, leading to a partiality for P-ADC...
