Comment: When Rajasthan switched from the more detailed report to this briefer format back in May, I believe that they stopped including out of state fatalities in the total. Last week, some media outlets reported 86 fatalities including 5 out of state, while others reported 91 fatalities. It is possible that the number above does not include the 5 out of state fatalities. - Ro

Swine Flu in Rajasthan, 42 people die in August

Published Date 2017/09/05 10:56, Written By- FirstIndia Correspondent

Jaipur | So far this year, 1280 people have died due to swine flu, while 101 have died. The only thing that has captured 42 people in the month of August alone is the fact that its easiest victims are children, elderly and pregnant women. CMHO figures show that about 30% of the total positive cases are children. Given the increased threat to children, prayer meetings have been banned in schools in Uttar Pradesh. However till now the medical department or local administration in Rajasthan is not cautious.

Dr. Aditya Atre, additional director of the medical department, says that there is a ban on the gathering of morning prayers for more children in the school due to cold and cold fever. But no separate instructions have been issued to the schools so far. At the same time, Jaipur collector Siddharth Mahajan says that so far it has not been considered in this regard. After discussions with CMHO, the decision will be taken. These flu mice viruses have a greater risk of spreading infection in children. The main reason for which the disease can reduce the immune system, besides sneezing, coughing, touching the throat can spread infection.
