At least 80 cases of swine flu reported so far in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: Health officials are a worried lot with first 25 days of January in state having witnessed more swine flu cases than in the entire 2014. One more person died of swine flu on Sunday and six others tested positive.
So far, in January at least 80 persons have tested positive for swine flu. In 2014, there were 67 persons who tested positive for the disease. The health officials now face the daunting challenge of controlling the spread of swine flu as the cases are scattered. So far the disease has claimed at least 23 lives.
"At least 99% of the deaths reported this year were of patients who were in the age bracket of 15 to 60 years. They all belonged to different areas of the city," a senior health department official said.
