Wind chill warning for
Laurentians continued

Light to moderate winds combined with very cold temperatures will
cause extreme wind chill values.

Bitterly cold temperatures continue to grip the province of Quebec
today. Light to moderate winds over most regions are strong enough to
result in extreme wind chill values ranging from minus 38 in Southern Quebec to minus 48 in Central and Eastern Quebec.

Conditions will begin to gradually improve as of midday today or
early this afternoon, except in the Saguenay region and Eastern Quebec, where extreme wind chill values are expected to persist
overnight into Saturday and Saturday morning.

During this deep freeze, exercise caution if you plan to be outdoors.
If you must go outside, dress warmly and keep dry. Cover exposed skin
as much as possible. Ensure that your heating system is in good
working order and that it is functioning properly.
