Quebec reports 142 more people have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours

MONTREAL -- Quebec public health authorities announced Sunday that 142 more people have died from COVID-19 and there are 735 new confirmed cases of the virus.

The number of deaths reported in the last 24 hours is more than double from the 61 reported between Friday and Saturday.

The total number of confirmed cases is now at 37,721, and 2,928 have died from the virus...

The situation "is not under control and is worrying in Montreal," said Fran?ois Legault in his May 11 press conference. This means that it is possible that the date of May 25 evoked to initiate a deconfinement is once again postponed. "It is not impossible, even, that the return to class in Montreal will be in September," said the Prime Minister, without wanting to go further.
