Quebec reports 15,000th death linked to COVID-19

Quebec has now recorded 15,000 deaths linked to COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to data published today on the province's open data website, 23 additional deaths associated with the virus were reported in the province over the past 24 hours.

Quebec has recorded more deaths linked to COVID-19 than any other province in Canada.

According to the open data site, 2,252 people were in hospital with COVID-19, a decline of 38 from the day before.

There were 74 people in intensive care, down six from the previous day...

Quebec reported three new deaths attributed to COVID-19 as hospitalizations continued to drop Monday.

There were 2,170 patients being treated for the disease, a net decrease of 12 from the previous day. This comes after 97 admissions and 109 discharges in hospitals across the province.

Intensive care unit cases related to the pandemic stood at 78, a rise of three.

The daily tally included 906 new novel coronavirus cases but the count is based on results from PCR testing, which remains off limits to most of the population...

Quebec is reporting a 25-patient increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations and 27 more deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus.

The Health Department says 2,195 people are in hospital with the disease, after 141 people were admitted in the past 24 hours and 116 were discharged.

It says 76 people are in intensive care, a decline of two over the same period.

Health officials are reporting 1,194 new cases detected through PCR testing, with 9.2 per cent of tests analyzed Monday coming back positive...

Quebec's COVID-19 hospitals saw a drop in overall occupancy in the 24 hours prior to Wednesday's update, which also revealed that 7,586 health-care workers were absent from work due to the virus.

As of Wednesday morning, there were 2,176 people hospitalized with the coronavirus, 19 fewer than the day before. That's after 164 people entered hospital and 183 were no longer in care.

Of those in hospital, 78 were in intensive care -- an increase of two since Tuesday's update.

Public health reported 30 more people with COVID-19 have died, bringing that total to 15,066.

The province recorded 1,630 positive PCR tests, which are reserved for certain at-risk populations.

The positivity rate was 11.6 per cent, suggesting the virus is still circulating widely. There were also 389 self-reported positive rapid tests...

Quebec is reporting a 57-patient decline in COVID-19 hospitalizations and 18 additional deaths linked to the disease.

The Health Department says 2,119 people are in hospital with COVID-19, after 150 people were admitted and 207 were discharged.

It says 64 people are in intensive care, a decline of 14 from the day before.

Health officials say 1,416 new cases were confirmed with PCR testing and that 11.6 per cent of tests analyzed Wednesday were positive. An additional 329 positive self-tests were reported through a government website...

After dropping below 2,000 on Saturday, the number of patients in Quebec hospitalized with COVID-19 continued to decline on Sunday.

There were 1,926 such patients reported in hospital in Sunday — 68 fewer than the previous day and more than 250 fewer than a week ago.

Of those patients, 66 were in intensive care — an increase of two.

Quebec reported four new COVID-19 deaths as pandemic-related hospitalizations continued to fall Monday.

The number of patients being treated for the disease in hospital stood at 1,910, a drop of 16. This comes following 85 admissions and 101 discharges in the last day.

Intensive care units cases remained unchanged from the previous day at 66.

The province also recorded 622 new infections of the novel coronavirus based on PCR testing, which is only available to certain groups...

Quebec reports 35 new COVID-19 deaths, hospitalizations decrease again

Quebec reported on Tuesday that there are nine fewer patients receiving care for COVID-19 in the province's hospitals, dropping that total to 1,901.

Sixty-six of those patients are in intensive care units, which is the same as on Monday.

The number of health-care professionals absent for COVID-19-related issues dropped by 96 to 6,463.

After reporting four new deaths on Monday, the province also reported 24 hours later that 35 more people have died due to the novel coronavirus, bringing that total to 15,178...

Quebec recorded 30 new deaths associated with the COVID-19 health crisis Friday as the province prepares to ease its mask mandate this weekend.

Pandemic-related hospitalizations stood at 1,754, a net drop of 67. In the last day, there were 92 admissions and 159 discharges.

There were 59 patients with the disease in intensive care units, a decrease of one.

The province reported 900 new official cases of the novel coronavirus based on PCR testing, which remains limited to certain groups.

Government-run screening sites administered 13,310 tests on Wednesday, the latest day for which that information is available...
