Quebec recorded 20 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 and a 38-patient increase Tuesday.

The number of people hospitalized with the disease came to a total of 1,153. This comes after 135 patients were admitted in the last day while 97 left.

Of pandemic-related hospitalizations, 63 are Quebecers in intensive care units. This is a rise of 10 in the past 24-hour stretch.

The province reported 2,171 new cases of the novel coronavirus, but this is only a partial picture of the current situation since PCR screening is limited to certain groups.

The number of hospitalizations rounded out at 1,200, a rise of 47. This comes after 148 patients were admitted, while 101 left in the last day.

Officials say 60 people were being treated for the disease in intensive care units, a drop of three.

The province’s daily tally included 3,067 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, though this isn’t representative of the situation since PCR testing is only open to select groups.

On that note, 20,475 tests were administered at government-run screening sites on Monday.

As Quebec enters a sixth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the province reported 12 new deaths and an uptick in hospital numbers Thursday.

Hospitalizations related to the disease stood at 1,238, an increase of 38. In the last day, 151 people were admitted while 113 were discharged.

The number of intensive care unit cases was also on the rise with six more patients, for a total of 66.

The province logged 3,319 new novel coronavirus infections. This only paints a partial portrait since PCR screening is only open to a few groups, including health-care workers and teachers.

Health authorities say 19,860 tests were given at government-run sites on Tuesday. It is the latest day for which that information is available.

Hospitalizations are continuing to spike in Quebec, with an increase of 72 reported Tuesday by the province.

According to the health ministry, there were 219 admissions and 147 discharges, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 1,479.

Of those, 120 people have received three shots of the vaccine, 50 have received two, three have received one, and 22 are unvaccinated. Sixteen have an unknown vaccination status.

Sixty-nine people are in intensive care, with the total remaining stable at an increase of 15 people and a decrease of 15...

Quebec reported a sharp rise in its COVID-19 data on Friday, as the sixth wave continues in the province.

The Ministry of Health says 230 more people checked into a hospital for treatment and 175 were discharged, for a net increase of 55 hospitalizations.

There are now 1,637 people in Quebec hospitals for COVID-19 treatment, including 62 people in intensive care units, a decrease of two from 24 hours ago.

Thirty more people have died due to the novel coronavirus, bringing that total to 14,512.

Out of 22,220 PCR tests analyzed by health-care professionals, 3,572 came back positive for a rate of 16.7 per cent.

The province has reported 992,649 positive PCR tests since the start of the pandemic.

In addition, 1,199 more positive self-declared rapid tests were recorded, bringing that total to 129,781.

There are 818 COVID-19 outbreaks and 31,121 active cases in the province, the highest since Feb. 12...

Quebec is reporting Tuesday that COVID-19 hospitalizations have risen by 145, bringing the total to 1,938, the highest since mid-February.

The Health Ministry says 294 patients checked in for treatment and 149 were discharged.

The number of intensive care unit patients declined by two for a total of 67.

Thirty-five more people died due to the novel coronavirus, bringing that total to 14,579.
