Sixth positive case of COVID-19 in Puerto Rico

A full credit source from the Veterans Hospital confirmed to Metro the sixth positive case of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Puerto Rico.

With this new positive, Puerto Rico has 6 cases of this virus that keeps the entire world on alert.

The first confirmed case on the island was that of an Italian tourist who came aboard the Costa Luminosa cruise ship, along with her husband, who also tested positive for this disease. The third is the man who was a patient of Dr. Fernando Cabanillas and who is recruited from Auxilio Mutuo.

The last cases that had been confirmed by the authorities were that of the American, a California resident, who entered the island the Coast Guard, and the last one was a Puerto Rican who had traveled to New York City.

Health raises to 14 the people infected with coronavirus in Puerto Rico
This after the Veterans Hospital reported six positive cases to COVID-19

The Health Department confirmed this afternoon that the Veterans Hospital registered six new coronavirus infections on the island, bringing the number of people with COVID-19 to 14.

The new cases join one already confirmed by the hospital, so the number of people with the virus hospitalized in their facilities total seven. The other seven cases in Puerto Rico were reported by Salud.

According to an agency press release, the seven citizens hospitalized in Veterans are in "stable" condition. Of this group six are men and one woman. Two of the men are 65 years old, followed by others 57, 33, 37 and 71. The woman is 55 years old.

Two of the cases reported by Veterans have no travel history, according to the press release.

"In close communication with the local government, the Veterans Hospital revealed that all cases had symptoms and only two of them had no travel history. The rest had developed their symptoms after traveling to destinations including: New York, Florida and Colorado, "the document cites.

The agency detailed that the health status of the six patients is "stable".

On the other hand, with the new data shared by the Veterans Hospital, the total number of cases under investigation by COVID-19 in Puerto Rico reaches 180, with 114 negatives, 14 positives and 52 awaiting results.

"Given the emergence of new positive cases on the island of COVID-19, it becomes imperative to follow strict compliance with all the isolation measures that we have adopted to protect the life and health of each of our brothers," said the governor. Wanda V?zquez Garced in the same report.
