A dangerous virus has become a real threat to the socio-economic security of the Rostov region. According to the chief veterinarians region Gennady Polyakov.

On Tuesday at a meeting of the Agricultural Committee Don Zaksobraniya it was decided to establish a working group which will examine the situation and think of how to protect the Rostov region of the African plague. The head of the group became deputy chairman of the committee for agrarian policy Vladimir Kasyanenko.

Frames from the effects of avian flu, the southern territory of Russia faced a new scourge - African plague, which was recorded outbreak in North Ossetia in late June. Now there's more virus shore 500 head of pigs, about two thousand animals scored specifically to stop the spread of plague.

-- We are doing everything possible to protect the Don region of the virus. But without addressing issues on the Protection of the region from the importation of contagious animal diseases from foreign countries and other regions of Russia to achieve this difficult - Polyakov noted.
