This correlation has been mentioned before but it's interesting also that a high proportion of the deaths in Michigan involved patients that were obese and morbidly obese with body mass indexes above 30 and 40 respectively..

The cause of the pregnancy related deaths are often thought to reflect the immune imbalances of pregnancy but many seem to happen in the third trimester and may as has been mentioned, similar to obesity, also reflect a physical impact resulting in decreased effective lung function....

Would this suggest an effective mitigation protocol? Like having them sit up in bed?
