Porutgal slower pace in infections of influenza A (H1N1)
Portuguese Minister of Health, Anne George, said Thursday that new cases of influenza A (H1N1) are occurring at a slower rate in the country, to admit that an eventual decline in cases of this disease.

"The increase in cases of influenza A (H1N1) is being produced in Portugal, but at a slower rate" than expected, "said Anne George, in the town of Fatima, the West eln, explaining that there a reduction in new cases.

Health Minister considered that it is too early to tell whether this corresponds to the lower "peak" or not, but added that there will be a decrease in influenza activity, although new cases arise.

The Health Ministry reported Wednesday that in the last week of health services nationwide reported 27,169 people with flu symptoms, regardless of the confirmation of the type of virus in laboratories, with six deaths.
