He died on a patient, in which the virus was confirmed A/H1N1 - the so-called pig flu. A man was in Bialystok provincial hospital from 20 February. This is the first fatal victim influenza in this season in our region.
Resident in new york State, a man was badly felt that he was already on the way to Bialystok. First presented to the hospital for a branch inside, then by almost two weeks was lying under ventilator problems, the failure. A man had a number of additional disorders, including Suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The virus was particularly dangerous for him. The second person, in which so far in our region has been confirmed for A/H1N1 virus has left the hospital in good condition. So far in Bialystok laboratory health inspector also confirmed 6 cases of an influenza type A (i.e. , seasonal). There is also a clear increase in the incidence of disease or suspicion thereof in weekly reports.
