WARSAW, Poland (AP) ? - The World Health Organization has reported tens of thousands of measles cases across Europe.

Now, Polish health officials are calling on people to vaccinate themselves and their children after measles cases were reported in the region around Warsaw.

Health Minister Lukasz Szumowski said 17 recent measles cases in the Mazovia Province all resulted from parents failing to get their children vaccinated...

Fourteen new measles cases have been registered around Warsaw over the last week, public broadcaster Polish Radio's IAR news agency reported on Friday.

Meanwhile, Poland's health inspectorate said that measles infections were on the rise in Poland with 79 cases reported in the Mazowvian voivodship alone since October 10...
