Plot of Cumulative U.S. Hospitalizations and Deaths

I still don't know how to paste a chart generated by Excel into a thread, so I printed it "virtually" as a pdf and attached it. The data used are from CDC.

Do a screen capture by pressing ctrl-alt-print screen at the same time. Use an image editor to save it as .jpg or .gif.

I upload the images to my own server and then point to them with the image option in message editor.

I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I wanted to add to this that if you don't have an image editor open at the time you do this, it may look like nothing has happened. But the image is saved to the Windows clipboard (assuming you're running Windows), and you can then start up a graphics program and press ctrl-v to paste the image into the editor.

Thanks Liz, that did it. I was wondering why nothing was happening.

When copy/paste does not work try upload as an attachment, it is the paper clip image in your 'make a post' window

Re: Plot of Cumulative U.S. Hospitalizations and Deaths

once an image is uploaded via the "paper-clip" (attach) method, you can click the paper-clip again and then attach the image to your post. Images do not necessarily have to reside on a 3rd party server. :)

Nice, I didn't know that! Here is JimO's awesome chart...

From Hawkeye-
Thanks PFlu, I've attached the image to the original post. I've removed your screen capture to keep thread size low.

I would also recommend a free piece of software called Cropper for screen captures, it lets you specify a region to capture, as well as an output format.
