Pistachios recalled following salmonella outbreak
5 Hours AgoThe Associated Press

At least 11 people in nine U.S. states have been infected in a salmonella outbreak linked to pistachios and two of them have been hospitalized.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the affected pistachios are also sold in Canada, but the Canadian Food Inspection Agency had not issued a warning about the nuts as of early Thursday.

The CDC says the pistachios sold under the brand names of Paramount Farms, Trader Joe's and Wonderful have been recalled by the grower due to the risk of salmonella contamination..
