PHOENIX - City libraries are offering free workshops on parenting, child development, women's health and avian bird flu, along with other topics as part of the Health for a Lifetime series.

Experts from St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center will discuss the issues and answer questions.

The first class, Parents Again: Grandparents Raising their Grandchildren, will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. Diaper Free Before Age Three will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Sept. 18 at Ironwood Library, 4333 E. Chandler Blvd. Measuring Milestones in Your Child's Development will take place 7 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at Desert Broom Library, 29710 N. Cave Creek Road. The Top Three Health Concerns for Women will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at Saguaro Library, 2808 N. 46th St., and Avian Bird Flu: What You Need To Know will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Yucca Library, 5648 N. 15th Ave. Information: (602) 262-4636 or phoenixpublic library.org.
