Has there been an increase in the number of microcephaly cases in the past two months?

That is the question posed by Dr. Willie T. Ong, a former Department of Health consultant to the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital.

Ong, a well-known internist and cardiologist, has asked the hospital to release its records of microcephaly cases in the past two months. He said a source told him that there has been an increase in the number of cases for the past two months.

?I am respectfully requesting Fabella hospital to release their records of microcephaly cases in the past two months [January and February 2016]. How many cases are there for these months? Let us compare the number of microcephaly cases this year as compared to the same period last year. A source has informed me that they have been seeing an increase in these cases. I pray that my source is wrong,? Ong, who is active in social media, said in a statement that was shared on Facebook.

According to him, by using his Facebook page alone, he has gathered a total of 15 cases of microcephaly, which involve children ages one year and below.

SANGGOL na may MICRO-CEPHALY (maliit ang ulo): Please Comment.

For parents: If you have a baby born to 2016 na may microcephaly, baka mag-comment Kayong puwedeng dito.

Because according to the DOH, NOTHING like Baby born with microcephaly Hospital disclosed in this 2016.

But according to my source who works in Fabella hospital, said he sees 2-3 cases of microcephaly every week since last January 2016.

Who is telling the truth?

Posible din wala na lang sa record ng microcephaly Fabella hospital.
We monitored the increasing cases of microcephaly because of Zika virus. Take care.
