DOH: Measles-rubella cases up 45%

The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday reported a 45-percent increase in measles-rubella cases for the first quarter of 2026.

A total of 1,627 cases were tallied between January 4 and March 21, with 68 percent of them coming from unvaccinated patients.

Across the regions, the Bangsamoro provinces recorded the highest number of measles cases at 344, with Metro Manila among the top regions at 158.​..
