DENGUE cases in Northern Mindanao have remained unabated with 65 deaths compared to last year's 48, covering the same period from January 1 to December 19.
The disease reporting units of the Department of Health in the region recorded the case fatality rate (CFR) at 0.57.
The CFR is the proportion of dengue deaths within a designated population of cases.
In 2014, 11,437 dengue cases have been recorded, registering a 119.39 percent increase compared to last year?s 5,213 cases.
Cagayan de Oro City has the highest case with 5,672 (62 percent). It recorded 3,518 cases last year.
The province of Misamis Oriental ranked next registering 55.9 percent.
However, Misamis Oriental has the highest increase of cases for this week at 201.68 percent while the city has the highest cases for the week at 30.8 percent...
