DOH guard in acute encephalitis syndrome that killed 10 people in Sultan Kudarat

Monitored by the Department of Health (DOH) the increase of those afflicted with acute encephalitis syndrome disease killing of 10 people.
According to the DOH, some people have died after eat horse meat in Barangay jumped on Senator Ninoy Aquino town.
DOH investigating whether the meat of horses afflicted bats this is bringing the disease.
The victims have experienced vomiting, diarrhea and severe fever.
According to the regional epidemiologist and Surveillance Officer Dr. Alah baby Vingno that since April have ten dies and yet they observe others that have four to 27 day incubation period.

GENERAL SANTOS CITY - The Department of Health (DOH) in Region 12 has sought the assistance of laboratories in the United States and Japan to determine the actual cause of the death last month of seven persons in Senator Ninoy Aquino town in Sultan Kudarat province, who were initially believed to have consumed contaminated horse meat.
Dr. Teogenes Baluma, DOH Region 12 director, said they sent some samples earlier taken from the seven victims to the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Georgia, and to another laboratory facility in Japan for examination and analysis.
?We don?t have definitive findings yet as to the actual cause of their deaths but we?re hoping that these laboratory examinations can provide us some answers,? he said in a radio interview.
