Peru reports 24 deaths from influenza A (H1N1)
A total of 24 people have died in Peru so far this year because of influenza A (H1N1) reported on Thursday the Ministry of Health.
Peru's Health Minister Oscar Ugarte Ubilluz, said two million people have been vaccinated against the disease.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in the middle of last year and until last September, the number of deaths from influenza virus A (H1N1) amounted to 159 across the country.
According to Minister Ugarte Ubilluz, vaccination in the country has an advance of 70 percent of the target set, which spera meet before next July 31. (Xinhua)
