Huancabamba. The Regional Health Bureau said on red alert the Andean province of Huancabamba after an outbreak of bartonellosis or Carrion's disease, which has so far claimed two victims and the registration of 61 cases, of which 19 are acute and of this number, 09 are serious.

The Director of Epidemiology, Ciro Garcia Vilela, said that the deceased, both sons of 17 and 25 years come from the towns of Hormigueros and La Coipa.
