The isolation order was given by the Chupaca Health Network, in the Junín region, for prevention, after the minors caught a dead pigeon that fell on the roof of their building.

Three children aged 11, 7 and 5 remain in quarantine after having handled a pigeon allegedly infected with avian influenza in the district of Ahuac, province of Chupaca, Junín region, their relatives reported.

The father of the minors, Ursus Rojas, told RPP Noticias that the isolation order was given by the Chupaca Health Network for prevention and indicated that their children, who do not have flu symptoms, are monitored by health personnel who have taken some samples to rule out the disease.
