Personal experience with HFMD

On Sunday our 3 year old was generally not herself. In particular she wouldn't eat and took a long nap. When she woke up she was running fever up to 101 F. She also complained of a sore throat. Our older daughter had had strep throat a week and a half before so we thought maybe she had picked that up. We took her to the pediatrician yesterday and it turns out she has HFMD. This is the second time we know of her having had that (I think the first was two years ago). Apparently this is a "mild" case as her fever didn't last very long and her symptoms don't seem too bad. ISTR that last time she had HFMD she was sick for longer.
