Patient "screened positive" at Baylor, transferred to Texas Presbyterian - The patient was determined to be low risk and released

Patient "Screened Positive" at Baylor, transferred to Texas Presbyterian.

On Friday morning Baylor Hospital in Dallas confirmed a patient with ?ebola similar symptoms? also triggered a positive on a verbal screening questionnaire.
Although a positive blood test has not been confirmed, sources says it?s not unusual to have a patient screen positive considering the wider net for ebola now over Dallas. A positive screening means the patient met some of the criteria to cause concern.
A source at Baylor Hospital Dallas says the patient came to the Emergency Room through a private entrance and went straight to isolation. The source says Baylor transferred the person to Presbyterian Hospital a short while later.

Hopefully just another false alarm. And I hope we get follow up soon.

Baylor Scott & White Health has not received any confirmed cases of Ebola.

A patient presented at Baylor University Medical Center Thursday evening reporting Ebola symptoms and indicated contact with someone with the disease. The patient was transferred within hours to Texas Health Presbyterian as directed by the Dallas County Health Department.

Upon arrival to Baylor University Medical Center, the patient entered the hospital through a private entrance. That entrance was then closed and the patient was immediately isolated. While again, there is no confirmation this patient is infected with Ebola, we are following all CDC disease-containment guidelines.

They are reporting that Texas Presby denies that they have a possible 'Ebola patient' that was transferred from Baylor. This is an odd situation. It almost looks like the patient disappeared in route from Baylor to Presby. I can't make sense of the news reports and it appears that we are no getting a straightforward report from Texas Presby.

Seems like this person must have called ahead of time to have been using a private entrance? Why a transfer to Texas Presby and then why all the denials? This is just an odd situation. :/

I recall reading somewhere Texas Health Presbyterian wasn't taking any more ebola patients due to staff shortage.

That was what they said on the news, that Presby wasn't taking any more Ebola patients. Also I read that Baylor was a designated hospital for Ebola patients.
