The Department of Health and Human Services of the United States is operating a blog in an attempt to reach out, not only to all Americans, but to all citizens of the world.

This blog is for the discussion of pertinent pandemic issues.

It is an experiment in internet communication for the purposes of public health education and interaction.

It is not perfect - but rather an effort by an institution of the government to involve "regular" citizens in the discourse.
