Paris hospitals announce three more deaths from A/H1N1 flu

PARIS, Nov. 9, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- Paris health authorities announced on Monday three more deaths from A/H1N1 flu over the past three days.
The Assistance publique-Hopitaux de Paris (AP-HP), the public hospital system of Paris city and its suburbs, released the figure in a statement.
The first victim was a man aged 44 who died on Saturday. In the following day, a 61-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man passed away in different hospitals also in the French capital.
The French Sanitary Surveillance Institute announced on Saturday that eight patients suffering from A/H1N1 flu had failed to survive since Nov. 3 in France, bringing the total death toll from the flu to 30 in the mainland.
The first phase of vaccination has been launched by the government exclusively for medical workers from Oct. 20. Nationwide vaccination is scheduled to begin on Nov. 12. Meanwhile, a freewill vaccination plan for 12 million French students in primary and high schools will begin on Nov. 25.
