The director of Alertness of the Health, Dr. Iv?n Allende informed to the means of press that there exists an important predominance of consultations in children and 5-year-old girls of age and a well-known increase of circulation of the virus sincitial respiratory; " it produces this one bronquiolitis in-year-old minors and risk can be of great for the premature babies and especially in children with low weight on having been born ", it indicated.
The bronquiolitis, is a complaint that determines respiratory difficulty of different gravity and affects principally children younger than 2 years being able to cause several cases especially in closed spaces (day cares). The severest symptoms appear in premature, nursing babies and small children, but also it can infect major adults or of the third age, provoking in these cases pneumonias.
With regard to this situation the epidemi?logo expressed a call of alert to the medical professionals so that they all carry to extremes the elegant ones: " This is a call of pediatric attention and neonatal. Presently with the Alertness Lookout observes that more than 50 % of the identified viruses is sincitial respiratory, followed by the H3N2 that it is a seasonal vine-stock and in the third place the adenovirus H1N1 seasonally; whereas the H1N1 pandemic vine-stock of 2009 is located in the fourth place as causal agent of respiratory illnesses ".
