More than 2,600 children with acute diarrhea were treated in five days

The report of the Ministry of Health indicates that between 26 September and 2 October 2679 were reported acute diarrheal consultations due to rotavirus.

The figure expresses the consultations around the country, noting a slight decrease in the departments of Boqueron, Presidente Hayes, Concepcion, Cordillera, Caaguaz?, Paraguar?, Central and Missions ?eembuc?.

However, there was an increase in patients with rotavirus in Caazap?, Amambay, Canindey?, Alto Parana, Guaira and San Pedro.

The causes are usually due to deficits in access to drinking water due to climatic conditions predisposing.

Of the total inquiries received in the year, reaching 83,908, 58% are under five years and 42%, children over five years.

Health advised to apply the dose rotavirus that is available since January in health centers.
