Increase thirteen dead dengue in Panama
The Ministry of Health of Panama today confirmed that 13 people have died from dengue in 2013 broke an epidemic in this country because of the proliferation of Aedes aegypti, vector of the disease.

02.18.2014 - 12:00:00 AM - PANAMA. There are 2,443 confirmed cases of dengue in Panama, according to the Department of Epidemiology, Ministry of Health (MoH).

Of the confirmed cases this year, 220 correspond to dengue with warning signs, no warning signs 2,210 13 severe dengue and 6 dead.

The epidemic is at its most critical. Until Monday, 3 February were 1,703 confirmed cases of dengue, of which 145 are with warning signs and 1,545 without warning signs and 13 patients are severe. Ie new cases totaled 740 in just 15 days.

From the above figure,

309 are with warning signs, 3,093 no signs of alarm and 17 serious, of which 8 people have died.

Dengue does not let in Panama Este, as the Ministry of Health (MOH) is investigating the death of a child who lived in the village of Tocumen.

The possible victim of less than one year was taken on September 3 at Hospital of Pediatrics of the Social Security Fund (CSS) with fever, vomiting and diarrhea.
