Skin disease breaks out in Karak

KARAK, May 12: The health facilities are overcrowded with patients as leishmaniasis, a skin disease, has been broken out in different areas of the district, according to officials.
They said that about 100 cases of leishmaniasis were reported in Gurguri, Totaki, Jala Banda, Dagar Narri, Mardankhel, Kundi and Terri areas. They said that medical teams were sent to the affected areas.
The officials said that a large number of patients were visiting Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Banda Daud Shah, Civil Hospital Terri and health centres in Khurram and Gurguri on daily basis...
