Dengue fever: Isolation ward set up at Lower Dir hospital

TIMERGARA, Nov 13: The executive district officer health Lower Dir has said that an isolation ward has been set up at the district headquarters hospital Timergara, where children from Upper Dir with suspected dengue fever would be kept.
Talking to journalists here on Saturday EDO Dr Shaukat Ali said that nine children belonging to Kotkay village of Upper Dir with suspected dengue fever had been admitted to the hospital.
?We have sent blood samples of these children to Islamabad for laboratory investigation and after receiving its result we will be able to properly diagnose the ailment,? he said, adding that after the death of two children Salman, 5, and Najeebullah, 3,

Meanwhile, relatives of the sick children told reporters that patients had been severely vomiting with high fever.
