It was said by Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Minister for Agriculture & Livestock while addressing the first national conference about awareness of Swine Flu organized by Pakistan Medical Society & University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences. Haji Allah Rakha MPA, Sakeena Shaheen MPA, Dr. M. Nawaz Vice Chancellor, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Dr. Masood Akhtar Sheikh Chairman PMS also addressed at this occasion. Scientists & Doctors from all the country presented their research findings regarding causes, effects and cure of Swine Flu. Dr. Masood Akhtar Sheikh said that 182166 people have been made victim of this virus all over the world while only 1799 casualties have been reported from the whole world..-->> and only one death took place in Pakistan.
Pig meat and its products are main cause of this disease so there is no epidemic threat in our countries, he added.:rolleyes:
Dr. Sheikh said that we should be vigilant at the return of "Hujaj Karam" after their return from Pilgrimage from Saudi Arabia as there is chance that people entering in Saudi Arabia from effete countries may cause spread of this virus among non effete. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz at this occasion said that biggest threat for Pakistan for this virus is from neighbor countries, particularly India.
