KARACHI: As many as 37,737 malaria cases have been reported throughout the Sindh province in 2014 and Malaria Control Program Sindh management has successfully brought the number of cases down by 50 percent as compared to last year, said Director, Malaria Control Program Sindh, Dr Naheed Jamali, while talking to PPI news agency on Wednesday.
Dr Naheed Jamali said malaria is a mosquito-borne disease and its outbreak took place after monsoon rains due to which thousands of people fall sick every year. She said malaria cases were common in rural areas of Sindh province, while dengue cases were generally reported from urban areas.
She said malaria cases had been declined 50 percent in the province in last year as compared to 2013...
