KARACHI: Two more Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) cases surfaced in the city on Thursday, taking the reported toll of cases to 27 in the provincial metropolis during the current year.

The patients have been identified as 54-year-old Zulhaja Shah and the 32-year-old Muhammad Kafeel. Zulhaja and Kafeel are being treated in different private hospitals after testing positive for the CCHF...

LAHORE: The National Institute of Health (NIH) has confirmed Congo virus infection in a patient who died at a hospital in Lahore, ARY News reported on Saturday.

The NIH lab has confirmed Congo virus in a Lahore resident Arif 46, who was admitted at Mayo Hospital of the city and his blood samples were sent to the NIH for medical tests.

The patient later died at the hospital...

Another Congo patient dies in Quetta

QUETTA: Another Congo fever patient died during treatment while four new cases were surfaced here on Sunday.

Head of Infectious Diseases Section Head at Fatima Jinnah Hospital Dr Sadiq said that a Congo fever patient who was under treatment at the hospital expired after which the death toll due to the disease during the ongoing year has mounted to four, whereas the total number of cases that have surfaced in the country this year now stands at 19.

Dr Sadiq further said that two more patients are admitted at the hospital and their test reports will come on Monday.

He said that they were brought to the hospital after experiencing bleeding from mouths and noses in addition to running high temperatures...

The Sindh Health Department confirmed the death of a 52-year old man, Habib Khan, a resident of Lyari, who died in a private hospital due to the Congo viral fever. The patient was brought to the hospital a few days ago with a fever, where he was diagnosed as a Congo patient. The tick-born viral disease has infected 36 people this year so far, out of which 17 have died.
