LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

On Thursday, an examination room at the Donegal Animal Hospital in Mount Joy, Lancaster County was closed. A pink sign was posted on the door that read, "influenza."

The room was shut down for the day after veterinarians diagnosed yet another canine with H3N8, or canine influenza.

It was a simply precaution to help combat what they said is a growing problem.

"We are seeing a very sharp increase in cases," Dr. Jeff Dill, a veterinarian at Donegal Animal Hospital, said. "Right now it's just in Lancaster, but this is something that very easily becomes a regional thing..."
