Blair County Reports First H1N1 Death

Blair County has its first Swine Flu-related death.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health says the 22-year-old woman died at the Altoona Hospital on Wednesday. An Altoona Regional Health System spokesman confirmed the woman's death, saying she also suffered from other medical problems.
The health system is currently treating four inpatient Swine Flu cases. Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Cowger says the H1N1 death should not cause undue alarm but should serve as a reminder to people to take the recommended precautions against infection. (continued ...)
