Oruro militarized in Bolivia due to increase in cases of Covid-19

La Paz, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) The authorities of the department of Oruro, in Bolivia, militarize from today its capital and all the demarcation before the increase in cases of Covid-19, which in a single day went from 14 to 30 patients.
According to local media, departmental and local authorities agreed to arrest those who violate the extended quarantine yesterday until April 30.
The governor of the department, Zen?n Pizarro, pointed out that the militarization aims at more rigorous control and to avoid contact between people and to stop the spread of Covid-19.
He added that in addition to the militarization of the streets and accesses to the city, they close the lower priority businesses, increase the control of the movement of vehicles and prohibit the sale of fuels.
Last night, the health authorities of the de facto government of Bolivia reported one of the highest numbers of infections with the new Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus, with 43 new cases in the country, for a total of 397, while the number of deaths remains at 28.
Oruro was the department with the most cases in a single day with 16 patients out of 43 in total.
