Meningococcal Disease Kills One in Douglas County

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Douglas County authorities announced Friday that one man is dead and another is hospitalized in connection with meningococcal disease.

Dr. Paul Norris with Douglas County Public Health said they are investigating both cases and don't know at this time if they are connected.

The surviving man is recovering at SacredHeart at Riverbend in Springfield and he is improving...
