OTTAWA ? Public health officials in Ottawa will send out 6,800 registered letters Monday warning former patients of a ?non-hospital? clinic that there?s a tiny chance they may have been infected with hepatitis or HIV.
Dr. Isra Levy, the city?s medical officer of health, won?t name the clinic or the procedures involved...
But he said a ?lapse? in infection control over a period that may stretch back 10 years could have infected someone...
Ottawa clinic named as source of disease scare

The Ottawa clinic at the centre of an infection scare was operated by Dr. Christiane Farazli, Ottawa Public Health said Tuesday.
Almost 7,000 registered letters were sent on Monday to former patients of the "nonhospital" clinic informing them that there's a tiny chance they may have been infected with hepatitis or HIV.
The facility performed endoscopic procedures.
In a news conference, Dr. Isra Levy, the city's medical officer of health, said the specific clinic was not initially identified on the weekend because the city's medical system would not have been ready to respond to concerns of everyone who might be at risk...
