MRSA superbug outbreak at Belleville hospital isolates patients

BELLEVILLE, ONT.?There is an outbreak of the MRSA superbug at Belleville General Hospital.
Hospital officials say the illness has been contained to a continuing care unit on one floor, where fewer than five patients have tested postive for the bacteria.
But none of the patients is showing any symptoms of MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus)...

The bacterial infection MRSA outbreak on the Sills 4 Complex Continuing Care unit at Quinte General Health Care's Belleville General Hospital is still in effect.
Susan Rowe, director of communications at Quinte Health Care (QHC), confirmed that one additional patient tested positive for the bacteria earlier this week.
The outbreak has effected less than five patients since it started on July 12...
