Summary of current and season to date influenza activity

While influenza B is the dominant influenza type, A(H1N1)pdm09 is the dominant influenza A subtype. [/FONT]

Of the 340 influenza B isolates characterized at the National Microbiology Laboratory, 206 (60.6%) are a different strain (B/Wisconsin/01/2010-like) and lineage than the influenza B component of this season?s trivalent influenza vaccine.
